The 500x500mm rubber sheets shall be installed in a grid system on the established base in a checkerboard pattern. The sub-structure can be either gravel or concrete surface.
Installation procedure:
1. installing the edge element: depending on the expected load, prepare a drainage, load-bearing or frost-protection base with plastic, rubber or concrete edges at the rubber slab laying site.
2. In all cases, drainage must be provided.
3.Preparation of the gravel bed (bottom layer): compact the 10cm thick layer of 0-20mm gravel with a tile vibrator.
4. gravel bed (top layer): compact the 3cm thick layer of 0-5mm gravel with a vibratory trowel.
5.Installation tape: roll out the installation tape (shiny side down) along the entire length of the area to be installed, then cut it at the end of the area to be paved using scissors. Using a paint roller, coat the installation tape with adhesive and place the rubber sheets on top. Repeat the process with the next row until you reach the end of the area to be paved.
