How does it work?
The active ingredient in Madex Pro apple moth virus rapidly kills young larvae. Virus particles (in a glycoprotein envelope) are taken up by the young larvae by feeding on the fruit and dissolving in its alkaline midgut. The virion begins to multiply by being absorbed through the epithelium of the midgut, causing the rapid death of the apple fruit fly larvae. Extremely environmentally friendly, effective only against apple moth. There are no residues when used, the product is harmless to beneficial organisms and humans. It is also effective against insecticide resistant populations of apple moth!
Technical information:
The treatment should be timed to the larval emergence, so that the young larvae start feeding on the fruit covered with virus particles! Based on active heat calculation and apple fly trap monitoring, treatments should be timed proactively after fruit set. Treatments should be repeated every 8 to 14 days until fruit ripening.Madex Pro is characterised by outstanding rain and UV resistance.
When applying the spray, adjust the water chemistry to pH 6.5.
Storage: 2 months at room temperature in the original sealed packaging, 2 years at +5 °C
