Fungicide sprays for vines and apple orchards
Homemade dosage: 3 ml/10 l water.
General information:
Active substance: 100 g/l tetraconazole
Formulation: emulsifying concentrate (EC)
Shelf life: 3 years in original packaging
Approval number: 04.2/399-1/2017.
The active substance in Alcedo is tetraconazole, a member of the chemical group of triazoles, which is part of the SBI (Sterol Biosynthesis Inhibitors) group. Tetraconazole is a broad-spectrum active substance with preventive and curative effects. Like all triazole drugs, it acts by inhibiting the synthesis of sterol by fungi. Tetraconazole moves systemically in the plant.
It is a highly effective agent against a wide range of pathogens.
Proposed crop protection technology:
Treatments against scab in apple crops should be started preventively during the period of ascospore dispersal from redbud phenological stage on a forecast basis and should be continued every 14 days. Only 3 applications per control season are possible. Simultaneous control will also provide acceptable protection against secondary infections of apple canker. Combination with sulphur products in an epidemic situation will significantly increase the biological efficacy of the control, but in all cases the use of the product is recommended in combination with contact products (e.g. sulphur, kaptane) in tank-mixes to reduce the development of sero-resistance.
In grapes, control of powdery mildew should be started on a preventive basis, based on forecasts and knowledge of the previous year's infestations. After major infestations in the previous year, it is advisable to start spraying before flowering, around the time of cluster growth. In the intensive shoot growth period, treatments should be continued every 10 to 14 days from flowering onwards, according to the infection pressure. In an outbreak situation it may be advisable to combine with contact active substances (e.g. sulphur)
Occupational health withdrawal period: 0 days
Food health withdrawal period:
14 days: Apple fruit (apples, pears, quinces, blackberries)
30 days: grapes (wine, table)
Air application: Not authorised
