Calcium chloride is the world's most effective de-icer, melting ice and snow at temperatures as low as -25°C. Calcium chloride can be used both as a preventive treatment (pre-snow, pre-rain) and as an after-treatment (melting of precipitation, snow, ice shells). As it generates intense heat during dissolution, it can melt ice many times more than its own mass. The product is sodium-free and its melting power is several times that of other alternative de-icers. It dissolves completely during use, with no residue.
