Profusely blooming, colourful summer flowers, which can be frozen in ice-cubes. They can even be used in winter as summer decorations for cocktails, desserts or table decorations. Shortly after sowing, the blue flowers of the borage, the yellow-orange petals of the velvet blossom, the variegated tatiks or the rustic cornflowers will open. These flowers are all edible but can also be cut and grow to a height of about 50 cm. Flowering lasts until frost and can be grown in beds, pots or crates. It requires a nutrient-rich, humusy, loose, well weed-free, sunny site. Preparing the ice cubes is very simple: place 1 flower in each cube of the ice cube tray, add water and place in the freezer. They are perfect for punch, cocktails, cool drinks or desserts.
