Spinach Emilia F1 (Spinacia oleracea)
Summer-grown, prolific F1 hybrid spinach. Late to seed, high resistance to peronospora (1-10 races).
Sowing: March-July (open field)
Germination: 10-15 days 12-20°C
Height and row spacing: 25 x 30 cm
Harvesting: june-sept.
Especially recommended for hot summer months, peronospora resistant spinach. Unlike other varieties, it produces flower stalks late in the heat, but until then it produces plenty of tasty leaves, which are also suitable for freezing. It requires a nutrient-rich, humus-rich, loose-textured, not too dry soil and a sunny to shady spot outdoors. Because of its crunchy texture, 'Emilia' F1 is also very suitable for fresh consumption, e.g. in Italian-style salads.
