Remove the orange fibres from the seeds and rub gently until a white spot appears on the seeds. Then leave the seeds to swell in lukewarm water for 1-2 weeks. Germination takes longer than 1 month. Prefers acid soil, can be grown at room temperature between 25-28°C. For overwintering, use a room at 10°C. Patient care is rewarded with a very showy, long-lasting flowering.
