The product may be used for the control of ovipositing red fruit tree aphids and aphids and shield aphids. It kills eggs and larvae hatching from eggs and, in the case of shield aphids, their overwintering forms.
The product can be applied at a rate of 2,5 % between the ear and green bud stages of development of apples and pears, and 1 % between the red bud and green and white bud stages of development of apples and pears.
In cherries, sour cherries, apricots, peaches, plums and ring hops, spraying should be carried out until flower buds appear.
The recommended application rate is 1000 l/ha, which may vary depending on the age of the plantation, the type of cultivation and the type of machinery used. The amount of Catane used, and the concentration applied, should always be appropriate to the phenological condition, due to possible variations in the volume of spray.
Catane can be applied after 21 days after spraying with other crop protection products. Treatment with other products is recommended 21 days after application of Catane.

When spraying, the air temperature should be between 5-25 ºC and the air humidity should be above 30 %,
