Common name: Agapanthus praecox (Alba)- Early White Love Flower - White Lily of the Nile

A tall, deciduous species with large leaf clusters, native to the Cape Province of South Africa. Fleshy, shiny leaves 70cm long, light green. Flowers are bell-shaped, beautiful blue in colour, opening in a globe on a stem about 1m long.

Cultivation:
Not demanding on the growing medium, but should have good drainage. It thrives best in a sunny spot.
It needs to be moved to a sunny spot from April, planted out and overwintered in a cool, frost-free place in the autumn.
