PROTECT® REVOLUTION rodenticide granules

For use on:

For the control of Norway rats (Rattus norvegicus) in confined spaces and in the immediate vicinity of buildings. For residential use.

PROTECT® Revolution rodenticide granules are a real novelty in the market of rodenticides!

PROTECT® Revolution contains, in addition to the rodenticide, a so-called efficiency enhancing gel, which provides a source of liquid for the rats. The combination of food and gel encourages the rodents to stick around and start consuming the rennet sooner. Once released, they thus consume the amount of vaccine needed to kill them in a shorter time. The effectiveness of rodent control is increased by using the gel!

Apply the product in areas where rats are present. Estimate the extent of rodent infestation from the traces or visible damage, and then apply the extermination based on this information.

Before applying the product, consider whether the rodent damage observed can be eliminated without the use of a rodenticide. Use insecticide only when justified!

Before applying the insecticide, check the area to be treated and take the necessary steps to increase the effectiveness of the treatment and prevent re-infestation. Eliminate bloat and, if possible, eliminate all food (e.g. food waste, spilled cereals, etc.) and liquid sources available to rodents.

Before starting eradication, consider whether there is resistance to the active ingredient (bromadiolone) of the rodenticide bait in the area. In areas where resistance is present, the use of a different active ingredient is recommended.

Remove the grey coloured aluminium foil from the tray before application. This will allow rodents access to the non-repellent efficacy gel. Leave the white coloured aroma permeable foil on the tray as it allows rodents to find and consume the rennet without opening it.

The method of release depends mainly on local conditions. The primary objective is to prevent access to the rennet by unauthorised persons and non-target animals. Rodenticide baits should be placed in places frequented by rats, on their migration routes or near their suspected hiding places

- in rodent-proof boxes or crates intended for that purpose, or

- in covered and sheltered feeding areas, provided that they offer the same level of protection for non-target species and humans as bait stations protected against opening.

We recommend the use of the MULTIBAITER® feeding tray marketed by Bábolna Bio Ltd. The maximum quantity that can be placed in a feeding box is the application dose.

Ensure that the feeding trays are securely fixed.

Application dose: minimum 75 g per 3 m (1 tray)

The rodenticide application equipment must be conspicuously marked with the name of the rodenticide, its active substance, its repellent, the name, address and telephone number of the applicator, in accordance with EMMI Regulation 16/2017 (VIII.7).

The frequency of inspections of feeding sites shall be determined taking into account the results of the site visit prior to treatment.

During the inspections, it shall replace any bait consumed. Replace bait if it is spoiled or mouldy.

If the efficiency gel dries out, pour about 0,5 dl of water on it. Once the water is absorbed, the gel will return to its original consistency. Make sure that the granules are not exposed to water.

If the bait is constantly running out, create more feeding sites, but do not increase the amount of bait placed in each feeding site. If the baits remain intact but rodents are still present, move the bait to another location.

Due to the delayed action of the anticoagulant, the onset of rodent mortality is expected to be 3-5 days after ingestion. Leave baits out only as long as rodent activity warrants. Do not use baits continuously without justification. It is desirable to combine the use of baits with the simultaneous introduction of an integrated pest management (IPM/IPC) system. If after a 35-day treatment period the baits continue to be consumed and rodent activity has not reduced, the likely causes should be identified and the necessary action taken.

Always read the product label before use and follow the instructions for use under all circumstances!
