A new insecticidal spray containing a unique active ingredient with long-lasting action. Zoom 11 SC is a contact and translaminar, juvenoid, growth control formulation. Effective against all developmental forms of mites (egg, larva and nymph) except adults. It causes female mites to lay infertile eggs.
The active substance in Zoom 11 SC ethoxazole is the only member of the diphenyl-oxazoline group. The unique structure of the molecule also makes it a unique mode of action, making it a distinct subclass of growth regulating miticides. The product only acts on the pest mites, sparing beneficial organisms.
Control should be initiated on the basis of observation, based on regular plant population surveys and knowledge of pest numbers. Spraying should be carried out at the beginning of the mite breeding season! The amount of spray should be chosen according to the size of the area of the plant treated. The product may be used in authorised crops with a maximum of one application of algae per growing season.
In soils, it may be used at a dose of 0,25 l/ha against spider mites, red fruit tree spider mites, plum spider mites and plum leaf mites. In apple and plum orchards it may be applied at a dose of 0,5 l/ha for the control of weevils and red orchard weevils, and in plum orchards also at a dose of 0,5 l/ha for the control of leafminers.
