The fruit is harvested between September and December. It flowers in spring and summer, with a variety of flower colours, ranging from orange to red.
Rich in vitamins, especially vitamin C, potassium and calcium and a source of flavonoids.
Its regular consumption has antihypertensive and anticoagulant effects, reduces cholesterol levels and slows the growth of cancer cells. It has positive effects against cardiovascular disorders and inflammatory diseases.
