This is a charming dwarf variety of banana that grows to a height of only 1.5m. Its leaves are a little waxy and have a unique pinkish tint to the central leaf area.
Leaves are around 1m long and 35cm wide. The inflorescence ranges from pink to orange and is completely bulb-proof. It has a very ornamental fruit, 7 cm long and 3-4 cm in diameter. It is a bright velvety pink with a fluffy feel. The fruit is edible and quite sweet, although full of small seeds.
This variety of banana is very cold tolerant and will survive all winters if it is well and heavily covered. It is ideal as a houseplant, as it is considered one of the bananas that will actually flower and fruit indoors. There are examples of this in our country too, the plant in the picture above, which started to bear fruit when it was one and a half years old!
The plant produces an abundance of shoots, which, when detached from the mother plant, can be used to produce new banana plants.
Care:
It prefers a sunny or partly shaded location and humus-rich, well-drained acidic soil. Use the general care and maintenance procedures for bananas. An essential characteristic of Pink bananas is that they are very resistant to pests even in room conditions! While other bananas get waterlogged by dry air, Pink bananas are resistant to these for a long time. The growth of the banana is slow when young. Grown in a pot, it will produce a trunk of about 50 cm and leaves of 90 cm by the age of 1.

Minimum temperature : - 10 °C.
It is frost tolerant under good shelter. Seed germination can last from 3 months to 1 year!
