Warm tropical climate loving, very special aloe that grows into a small tree or shrub. Named for the position of its inflorescence, which looks like a cat's tail.

ALOE:

A very species-rich genus of the family Asphodelaceae, with about 330 succulent evergreens with succulent pose.
Their native habitat is tropical Africa, Madagascar and the Arabian Peninsula. They are very diverse in appearance, ranging from low, grassy perennials, shrubs, creepers and woody plants.
Their leaves, usually chain-shaped, are erect and toothed or thorny, forming a rosette of leaves or sprigs of leaves. Their red or yellow, tubular flowers open in clusters or umbel-like inflorescences in late winter.
Their catchy form and beautiful flowers make them popular garden plants in warmer climates, but they can also be grown successfully in containers elsewhere.

Cultivation:

They prefer a warm, dry climate and well-drained soil, and will tolerate nutrient-poor conditions.
Plant in a sunny position, although some small species will tolerate light shade.


Minimum temperature : 5°C

Sensitive to frost. Seed germination time is about 4-6 weeks.
