A beautiful, small to medium-sized deciduous tree with purple flowers that open in summer. Its natural habitat is southern China and Southeast Asia.

BAUHINIA
A species of tropical origin, found on almost all continents. It belongs to the butterfly family (Fabaceae). It is characterised by its five-petalled flower and compound blue leaves.
Cultivation: easy to grow in warm climates, slow growth. They tolerate warmth and dry bound soil well.

Minimum temperature : 5°C
Not frost tolerant. Seed germination time is about 2 months.
