It needs a well permeable soil, which in our country means cactus soil. It is an ideal plant for homes with dry air. It can also be kept outdoors in summer. In winter it hardly needs watering. In bright and cool conservatories and staircases it is easy to overwinter. Colour variations, not always shown by vegetative propagation. Flowering can be expected after 6 months in April-October, under optimum conditions!
Minimum temperature: 15°C. Sensitive to frost.
