This is a systemic fungicide for the control of a wide range of peronospores in vegetables. The formulation has a 'built-in' resistance prevention mechanism based on the very different mode of action of the two active substances.
Fluopicolide destroys the solidifying protein network of fungal cell membranes, while propamocarb prevents the formation of fungal cell walls by inhibiting the synthesis of phospholipids and fatty acids. Propamocarb is an ideal partner as it has been used for over 30 years without developing resistance.


Proposed technology:

Preventive control in potatoes against phytophthora based on prediction. The first spray is applied at stolon emergence (first stolon 5 cm, lobes developed). Repeat treatments every 7-10 days depending on the infestation pressure, up to a maximum of 4 times in one growing season. When using low doses (1,2 l/ha) and in case of high infestation pressure, the spray cycle should be 5 days.

Control of peronospora in cabbage, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower should also be based on a forecast. If forecast data are not available, control may be carried out on a scheduled basis from the beginning of heading or head formation in cauliflower until the end of heading at 10-day intervals, but not more than 3 times in any one growing season.

Control of cucumber peronospora should be based on forecast data. In the absence of forecasting data, start spraying preventively at the first appearance of cucumber lateral shoots, but no later than the first symptoms. Treatments should be carried out in 7-day spraying cycles, with a maximum of 3 treatments per growing season. In lettuce, control of peronospora should be preventive, with treatments carried out in 7-10 day spray cycles depending on the infection pressure. The product may be used in lettuce up to 3 times per season.
