It grows into a large bush in an airy, well-nourished and well-watered area. Compared to the traditional greenish-red leaf-stemmed varieties, it does not like severe cold and requires shelter in winter. It has excellent vitamin content and can be harvested all summer. It is an excellent base for compotes, cakes and jams.
