It should be sown in early spring immediately after spring barley, at the latest in mid-March, and in extreme weather conditions at the latest by early April, but increased weed infestation of the area can be expected. Rolling before sowing will ensure uniform sowing depth, and a Cambridge roller is preferable for rolling after sowing.
