By trapping the adult cherry weevils, the number of eggs deposited is significantly reduced and so the amount of pests, resulting in fewer wormy cherries. Traps should be set before the cherries turn yellow! The number of traps to be placed on a tree: height of the tree in metres x 2. The traps should be evenly distributed on the tree, it is important to place 3-4 traps on the top of the tree, but it is not necessary to place them on the north side.
