Active ingredient: 0,05 g/kg (0,005 %) bromadiolone
Type of lure: pulp
Specially formulated rodenticidal baits in pulp formulation which retains its fresh flavour over a long period of time and is therefore well accepted by rats. The dosage is very simple and therefore easy to use. Its use is particularly recommended in areas where rodents find plenty of food anyway. It can be used primarily in feeding fittings in which the bait can be fixed. Contains BITREX.
Instructions for use
The preparation should be used in areas where rodents are likely to be present. Estimate the extent of rodent infestation from signs or visible damage and treat accordingly. Consider whether there is a risk of resistance to the active ingredient of the baits (bromadiolone) in the area before proceeding with the eradication.
If possible, remove all other food sources before baiting. The method of deployment will depend primarily on local conditions, but the primary objective is always to prevent access to the bait by unauthorised persons and non-target animals. The rodenticidal pulp may be applied in areas frequented by rats and mice, along their migration routes or near their suspected hiding places as follows:
- in a rodent-feeding crate or box, protected against opening, intended for that purpose, or
- in feeding stations provided on the premises, provided that the availability of the vaccine can be ensured by the use of an auxiliary device (tray, prism).
Ensure that feeding stations are securely fixed.
Application dose of Protect® Plus rodenticide slurry for rat control:
- for low nuisance: up to 200 grams of pulp per 10 metres,
- for high nuisance: maximum 200 grams per 5 metres.
Application rate of Protect® Plus rodenticide pulp for the control of mice:
- for low level damage: up to 40 grams of pulp per 10 metres,
- for high nuisance: up to 40 grams per 5 metres.
The rodenticide application equipment must be conspicuously marked in accordance with Annex 8 to Joint Decree No 38/2003 (7 July 2003) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management and must bear the name, active substance and antidote of the rodenticide, as well as the name, address and telephone number of the applicator.
Check feeding sites daily initially, then once a week, and replace any bait consumed. Replace spoiled or mouldy baits.
If the baits placed out are constantly running out, establish more feeding stations, but do not increase the amount of baits placed out at each feeding station. If the baits remain intact but rodents are still present, move the baits elsewhere.
Due to the delayed action of the anticoagulant, rodent mortality is expected to occur 3-5 days after ingestion. Leave baits out only as long as rodent activity warrants. Do not use baits continuously without justification. It is desirable to combine the use of the product with the simultaneous introduction of an integrated pest management (IPM/IPC) system. In the majority of cases, complete rodent-free status can be achieved within 2-6 weeks after application of the product. If rodent infestation persists after this time, the cause of the infestation should be investigated and the necessary measures taken.
Authorisation No: HU-2013-MA-14-00069-0000
Always read the product label before use and follow the instructions for use under all circumstances.
