The economics and management of agricultural mechanisation

In Hungary, a comprehensive literary work on the economics of agricultural mechanization was published in the first half of the 1970s, thanks to the work of IMRE DIMÉNY in 1971, "The economics of mechanization in agriculture", in 1973, "The economics of mechanization of animal husbandry", and in 1975, "The economics of mechanization development in agriculture". In the last twenty years or more, no work on the subject has been published that is as comprehensive. With this book, we would like to fill this gap to some extent, as our aim is also to provide an up-to-date systematic introduction to the subject. The book is the work of several authors who are recognised experts in their fields and have many years of experience in higher education. As an editor, I have endeavoured to ensure that each chapter retains the individuality of the author. I can only hope that this is not at the expense of learning. I hope that our work will be of use to all those who wish to improve their knowledge of agricultural economics, agricultural management, technical development and mechanisation at university level. At the same time, I hope that practitioners who have already left the classroom will also find our book interesting and useful.
