What is Nematop biological insecticide ?

Nematop is a 0,5-0,9 mm long nematode preparation that finds the target pest in the soil within a short time and kills it together with bacteria living in symbiosis with the nematode. They multiply in the body of the pest (host) and seek out another host under suitable conditions. In this way they rapidly kill the target pests present. However, all this is only achieved if the soil is kept moist at the right time and soil temperature and the application is made in the evening hours away from the sun's UV rays.

What are the active ingredients of Nematop:

The nematodeHeterorhabditis bacteriophora, which acts by multiplying in the insect larvae and pupae of the pest

The product has a long-lasting, gradual action, lasting up to a full season. It takes 6-8 weeks to reach maximum efficacy, which can be achieved by regular watering to ensure adequate soil moisture.

When can I start treating the land with Nematop ?

Control should start when young larvae are detected. It can be used effectively in soil temperatures above 12°C and on moist soil.

How to use Nematop biological insecticide ?

Dose:

50 million units/100 m2 ; 500 million units/1000 m2

Volume of spray:

create by adding at least 10 l of water per 100 m2

Preparation and application of the spray:

To prepare the spray juice, dissolve the entire contents of the package in water at 15-20 °C. Application is recommended in the evening or during cloudy weather. When applying the spray, the entire contents of the package should be used. After treatment, water for 3 weeks and keep the soil moist. Nematodes can also be applied via a sprinkler system, a Nemasprayer mounted on a sprinkler hose, a hand-held sprayer or a watering can. It is important to remove the filters and when using a sprayer, use a 1 mm nozzle with a maximum pressure of 4 bar, otherwise nematodes can get caught. The spray should be sprayed immediately after preparation with continuous mixing to ensure that sufficient oxygen is available for nematodes. The preparations are UV sensitive, so it is advisable to apply in the evening.

Can Nematop be used with other chemical insecticides ?

Insect pathogenic nematodes may be sensitive to some of the insecticides used in soil so if they are used, wait at least 2 weeks before applying nematodes.
