About the letterbox in general...
A biennial plant of theBrassicaceae family. It produces strong, fleshy leaves in the first year and flowers and seed stalks in the second. It is deep-rooted and therefore has excellent nutrient and water use. It grows in all soil types. It has low light and heat requirements. It appreciates fertile soil and sun. It will grow in partial shade, but its growth is slower.
Morphology of the leafhoppers:
Dark green, narrow, long and very frilly leaves 50-60 cm long. It has no head and its palmately arranged leaves are very decorative.
Cutting:
May-June, in open ground 2 cm deep.
Seed requirements:
1.5 - 2/10 m2 for direct sowing and 5g for pre-growing 1,000 seedlings.
Spacing:
50x50cm.
Harvest:
end July to September
