Hunter PGP backflow preventer

Backflow preventer that can be easily installed in any size HUNTER PGP and PGP ULTRA nozzle. The backflow preventer prevents a pool of water from forming around the lower nozzles in an area that is not completely flat, because water in the pipe can flow out of these nozzles after irrigation is complete.

Simple to install, the nozzles can be retrofitted once installed.

This HUNTER Backflow Preventer is perfect for use with the PGP nozzle up to 2.1 m level difference. By preventing ponding after irrigation is complete, not only does the backflow preventer save us water, but we can also avoid grass rotting in permanently wet areas and the inconvenience of getting wet ourselves when walking in the garden.

This product has a built-in filter that fights micro-pollutants and plant particles flowing in mains and well water. However, we recommend that you also use one or more central filters in addition to this. This will minimise the risk of nozzles and other components becoming clogged and prolong their lifetime, protecting them from contamination.

Installation of these backflow preventers is very simple: simply remove the PGP or PGP Ultra nozzle and fit the backflow preventer into the base of the protrusion. This is done in a few minutes and can even be inserted afterwards.
