Tanos® 50 DF is a highly effective, local systemic (locally absorbed) fungicide with preventive and curative (curative) action against a wide range of fungal diseases. Cymoxanil paralyses cell membranes and inhibits sporulation. Famoxadone destroys the energy system of fungal cells.

In potatoes, spraying with the product should be started as a preventive measure or at a very early stage of infection (before symptoms appear) and repeated depending on the risk of infection. A spray interval of 10 to 12 days is recommended for low infection pressure and shorter intervals for epidemic-prone conditions.

In tomatoes, the product should be applied several times during the growing season as a preventive treatment based on a forecast, the first spray should be applied immediately before foliar closure and then continued every 7-10 days for 3-5 sprays, depending on the infection pressure. In case of epidemic infestations, treatments should be continued in shorter control periods.

In grapes, control treatments should be started preventively according to the forecast, usually around 20-25 cm shoot stage, and may be continued every 7-12 days until cluster closure according to infection pressure. The product is locally (local-systemic) absorbable and has a favourable biological activity against the pathogen on its own. Spraying in blocks is recommended. Cross-resistance with other absorbable products is not known.

In sunflower, in case of wet weather conditions which predispose to diaport stem rot, the first control should be applied preventively at the time of infection risk, but generally at the latest at the first symptoms at 6-8 pairs of leaves (BBCH 16-18), and the second at the beginning of the flowering and star bud stage (BBCH 51). If the weather is rainy in late July/early August and conducive to the development of disk diseases, a third treatment may be necessary at the lemon ripening stage (BBCH 85-87). The first treatment can be carried out by field machinery, the second by bridge tractor or aerial spraying, and the third by aerial spraying. In seed and intensive sunflower production, treatments at lemon ripening are highly recommended. The efficacy of control of alternaria, white mold and gray mold diseases of the disc can be significantly increased by using the combination (flusilazole).
