For home use, use a spray solution of 0.2% (20 g Champion® WP for 10 l water).

In all cases, Champion® 50 WP should be sprayed as a preventive measure at the latest at the first symptoms and repeated every 7-14 days depending on the weather and phenological stage.

In apple orchards, against needle dieback by flushing sprays at a rate of 3-4 kg/ha.Against other diseases in apples, 2-3 kg/ha, taking into account copper sensitivity. Non copper-sensitive phase is considered to be the wash spraying period and the pre-flowering phase.
In other authorised crops, use at a rate of 2-3 kg/ha as follows:

Based on forecasting, in vegetables, legumes, treatments should be started at the onset of disease. Depending on the severity of the infestation and the weather, it may need to be repeated every 10-14 days.

In potatoes and sugar beet, it is advisable to start from row closure as a preventive measure. In grapes, treatments against grapevine peronospora should be started before flowering at the 20-25 cm shoot stage and repeated every 10-14 days depending on the severity of the infestation.

In stone fruit: in peaches, spray against taffron blight as a wash, stopping at bud break at the latest. Residual treatments against bacterial branch dieback are recommended at leaf fall. In plums, sour cherries and cherries, treatments against leaf blight, moniliaceae and bacterial branch necrosis can be carried out continuously according to the development of the infection.
In quince, it is not recommended to continue the application of residual sprays after red bud stage.

Also for crops not mentioned (raspberries, nuts, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers), control should be preventive.

Use 800-1000 l/ha for orchards and vines, and higher rates of 1000-1500 l/ha for stone fruit against fungal branch dieback and bacterial diseases.
In other crops: 300-500 l/ha.

Recommended combinations, mixability Against apple scab and grape peronospora: Champion® 50 WP 2,0-3,0 kg/ha+ Domark® 10 EC 0,3-0,4 l/ha,

Champion® 50 WP 2,0-3,0 kg/ha+ Cosavet® DF 3,0-7,0 kg/ha Champion® 50 WP can be mixed with other fungicides and insecticides and foliar fertilizers without loss of efficacy (e.g. Talstar® 10 EC, Fury® 10 EC, Rogor® L 40, Agriplant® 4, Wuxal® Calcium).

Practical advice: Champion® WP should always be applied as a preventive measure before the onset of disease symptoms. The control should be repeated every 7-12 days depending on the crop and its phenological stage. In the second half of the growing season, in addition to the control of peronospora, it also plays a role in the senescence of the canes.

MECHANISM OF ACTION Its active substance, copper II ion, is taken up by the spore during germination and accumulates until it reaches a concentration high enough to kill the spore cell. This activity is limited to the prevention of spore germination, i.e. it must be deposited on the plant before the spores germinate. Champion® 50 WP was the first copper formulation to revolutionise the formulation of copper formulations thanks to a new manufacturing process. As a result, the surface area that can be covered with Champion® 50 WP far exceeds that of conventional copper preparations containing the active ingredient copper oxychloride.

Effectiveness Champion® WP is effective against virtually all phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria except powdery mildew. In grapes, peronospora and orange rot; in apple crops, scab, bacterial needle blight; in potatoes, phytophthora, alternaria and bacterial diseases; in peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers, bacterial and fungal diseases; in sugar beet, cerkospora; bacterial and fungal diseases in leguminous vegetables; cane diseases in raspberries; bacterial and fungal diseases of nuts; branch necrosis, leaf spot, monilia, tafrina and gnomonas diseases of bacterial and fungal origin in stone fruit.
