Active ingredient: 85% daminozide
Alar 85 is a systemic active ingredient that reduces the size of plant cells, thus shortening the length of stalk lengths. It also inhibits the growth of the apical meristem, allowing more branching and
the plant to produce more flowers, which ultimately increases the productivity of the plant. Treated plants grow a strong root system, making better use of soil water and nutrients. At the same time, Alar 85 increases chlorophyll production in the treated plant, resulting in darker green leaves.
Prescribed plant protection technology:
The formulation is for use in the greenhouse only to reduce plant height, increase flower number and enhance colour intensity of ornamental plants.The formulation should be applied to the crop by automatic sprinkler or hand sprayer as follows:

Potted chrysanthemum: 1,2-5 kg/ha applied at a rate of 750-1500 l/ha of water:
-for plants with green flowers, the first treatment should be applied after the side buds have sprouted
-for bushes, the first treatment should be applied after the main buds have emerged and repeated as necessary

Cut chrysanthemum: apply at 0,5-5 kg/ha at 750-1500 l/ha of water 21 days after bud emergence. Apply only to the upper third of the plant.

Potted poinsettias: apply at a rate of 1-2,5 kg/ha750-1500 l/ha of water
-for flowering plants, before the plant reaches its typical plant height and then repeated as necessary
-for bushy plants, first treatment when new shoots reach 50-80 mm, then repeat treatment 14 days later.
Treatment 3 - even for monocotyledonous or branched plants, only in special circumstances.

Potted cyclamen, coral flower: apply at the rate of 1-5 kg/ha with 750-1500 l/ha of water when new shoots reach 10-12 mm.

Azalea: apply 2-5 kg/ha at 750-1500 l/ha of water.
for potted azaleas, at 7-day intervals when the new shoots reach 25-50 mm in length
-for azaleas grown in flower containers, the treatment should be applied 14-21 days before the plant reaches its final shape

Gardenia: apply 2-5 kg/ha at 750-1500 l/ha of water when the plants are 2/3 of their final height

Hydrangea: 2-5 kg/ha applied at 750-1500 l/ha of water
-with a pruning iron, to reduce side shoots when new shoots start to appear and 4-5 leaves are clearly visible
-in summer to slow down growth when new shoots reach 25-50 mm in length

Other ornamental plants (peonies, dahlias, lobelia, petunias, velvet flowers, salvia, yellow violets):
Apply to the stand at 0.5-5 kg/ha with 750-1500 l/ha of water. First treatment two weeks after needling, when the plants have produced new shoots.
