Active ingredient: 100,0 g/l piriproxifen
Admiral® 10 EC is an insecticide containing a juvenoid active ingredient which spares beneficial organisms. It thus allows it to be used as a basic product in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in rotational crop production.
It can be used for:
In sprouted tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, sprays are recommended to be initiated based on monitoring data of greenhouse molt swarming. Admiral 10 EC is an insect growth regulator and only acts on young larvae. It has no direct protective effect against egg and adult insects and should be used in combination with other products.
Treatments should be applied no more than twice at 14-day intervals during the growing season to avoid possible resistance. The product provides adequate protection for 4-6 weeks.
In case of sprouted cucumbers, the spray should be supplemented with an adherence enhancer (e.g. Silwet® L-77 / Silwet Star).
The product can be integrated into biological control methods in closed growing facilities because it is also effective against the moth quail Encarsia formosa and predatory mites (e.g. Phytoseiulus persimilis).
Control of waxy and turtle shield aphids on ornamental plants grown in greenhouses and fields, ornamental trees in ornamental nurseries, nurseries and public deciduous and evergreen ornamental trees should be carried out in spring to control overwintering individuals or in summer to control swarming young larvae (L1-L2), as predicted. Treatment should be repeated as necessary due to continued reproduction.
The addition of an adherence enhancer (e.g. Silwet L-77 / Silwet Star) to the spray is justified.
A preliminary phytotoxicity test on ornamental plant, tree and shrub species is recommended.
