Introducing Biofil Algae:

Application:

BIOFIL® Alga is a microbiological formulation containing two microalgae and three strains of soil bacteria, a unique foliar fertilizer in the domestic market. Studies carried out with BIOFIL® Alga have shown that the root development of the treated plant is increased, the green area and its chlorophyll content are increased, and the yield is increased. The overall stress tolerance and thus drought tolerance is also markedly improved.

For the treatment of all arable crops at a rate of 1-2 l/ha, applied twice during a growing season at a rate of 250-300 l/ha.

To protect bees and other pollinating insects, do not use during the flowering period! Do not apply in the presence of flowering weeds!

Avoid strong sunlight, windy weather and heavy rainfall during application. Do not mix with algaecides, bactericides and fungicides!

Properties:

Average live germ count:

  • Algal component: minimum 108 cells/ml.
  • Bacterial component: at least 5 x 106 cells/ml.

From a public health point of view, non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-infectious to plants, animals, humans.

Composition:

BIOFIL® Alga is a combination microbiological formulation containing two microalgae strains (Chlorella vulgaris, Chlorella zofingiensis and three soil bacteria strains (Azotobacter vinelandii, Azospirillium canadense, Bacillus proteolyticus).

Mechanism of action:

The positive effect of the preparation is mainly exerted through the leaves and to a lesser extent through the soil.

Action through the leaves:

Algal cells and beneficial bacteria in the preparation are able to establish direct contact with the plant. Some bacteria can enter the plant through the plant's air exchange openings (stomata), others colonise the leaf surface. Beneficial nutrients (macro-, meso- and microelements, amino acids, vitamins, etc.) produced by microalgae and bacteria and plant hormones and endocrine disruptors are diffused into the plant cells. Absorption from the leaf surface is almost complete, above 90%. The microalgae and plant growth promoting (PGP) bacteria in the formulation support the plant in its defence against pathogenic fungi.

Action through the soil:

When applied in early phenophases, a portion of the foliar fertilizer is applied to the soil. The micro-organisms in the formulation improve plant viability through the soil by helping the microflora to colonise the roots.
