They can be harvested raw or used to flavour dishes (e.g. cottage cheese spreads, soups).
Loose, nutrient-rich, but not freshly fertilized soil and warm, sunny location
sunny days. Place spread out on the soil, moisten and cover with a thin layer of soil,
press it down and water again thoroughly. It should never be allowed to dry out.
If you want an even longer white part, you may want to top it up twice with soil (fading).
A good companion plant for most vegetables, but especially carrots.
