Urea 46% 25 kg
Presentation of urea nitrogen fertiliser:
An excellent base fertilizer, especially for aerated soils well supplied with calcium and with a lively microbiological life.
Surface-treated fertilizer:
The purpose of surface treatment is to prevent granules from clumping during storage. The surface treatment also increases the strength of the product. Surface-treated urea can be used for fertilisation and for certain industrial purposes.
Benefits of surface treatment:
Surface-treated urea is non-hygroscopic, does not tend to agglomerate and can therefore be transported in bulk and stored under cover. It cannot be mixed with fertilizers containing ammonium nitrate.
It can also be used as a foliar fertilizer in a 0.5-1% solution, as its aqueous solution does not scorch vegetation.
The amide nitrogen of urea:
Relatively longer-lasting. It is converted to nitrate by biochemical processes and the intermediate products do not leach out of the soil, making this product an excellent base fertilizer. As a feed urea, 25-30% of the protein requirements of ruminants can be met by urea. In industry, it can also be used with formaldehyde to produce resinous aminoplasts and wood adhesives.
Application of urea:
It is advisable to apply urea to the soil at least two to three weeks before sowing so that the sal ammonia (ammonia) produced during its decomposition does not inhibit seed germination. Its favourable particle size and physical properties make it suitable for both ground and aerial application, using both conventional fly-tip and pneumatic fertiliser spreaders. Its solution is generally well miscible with pesticides, so that foliar fertilisation can be carried out in combination with various chemical crop protection treatments.
