What kind of beet is the Fertődi red variety?
Long type. It has a long growing season of 180-200 days. It has a strong leaf. The carrot has a tapered shoulder, thinning evenly downwards, ending in a point. The root is fine. Colour vermilion red, surface slightly ringed.
Uses:
A variety with a high carotene content, suitable for storage and industrial processing. (A bag contains about 4200-4500 seeds.)
How to grow Fertődi red carrots?
Sowing:
Can be sown in March at soil temperatures above 3 °C.
Spacing:
30 cm x 5 cm row and sow the seeds at a spacing between the rows.
Harvest:
Can be harvested continuously from August.
