Home use: 10 ml/10 l water.
OPTYSIL is recommended for foliar application to all types of agricultural and horticultural crops. It can also be used for irrigation (fertilization, watering).
The neutral pH of the preparation ensures compatibility with commonly used foliar fertilizers and plant protection products.
It is important to apply OPTYSIL proactively - before stressful conditions occur.
Key benefits of using OPTYSIL as a stimulant:
increased plant tolerance to adverse growing conditions (e.g. drought and other abiotic stresses)
limited impact of biotic stress caused by pathogens and/or pest attack
Stimulated root growth in young plants
Improved yield, quality and storage parameters.
OPTYSIL as an immunity stimulant is a key component of the STRESS CONTROL SYSTEM (SCS) strategy to support the natural resistance of plants.
OPTYSIL can be used in various fertilization techniques including foliar sprays, fertilization, irrigation.
Foliar sprays:
OPTYSIL is designed for foliar application in the form of aqueous solution. OPTYSIL may be used with other agrochemicals after a miscibility test has been carried out. Test results are given in the INTERMAG agrochemical mixing table.
Detailed recommendations for foliar application are given in the table below. You can use the search engine and quickly find the application rate and time of foliar application. Select the crop
FERTILIZATION:
Recommended solution: 50?270 ml of OPTYSIL in 1000 litres of ready-to-use nutrient solution.
Use in a separate fertilization cycle or with fertilizers when checked for suitability for mixing. For tillage crops, use 3-5 times.
For dirt crops, use in pots and several times during the growing season.
For strawberry cultivation, use up to 120 ml per 1000 litres of nutrient solution.
FERTILIZATION:
Recommended solution: 0,1%, i.e. 100 ml OPTYSIL in 100 l water. Water the plants 3-6 times during the growing season.
Underestimation of the importance of silicon
The importance of trace elements that have not been considered essential macro- and micro-trace elements for plants in crop production is increasing. A growing number of scientific studies have demonstrated the beneficial effects of silicon. Plants deficient in silicon have been found to be unbalanced in growth, development and yield fixation, and more susceptible to various toxicants, pathogens and pests. Silicon has been shown to have a very significant effect on trace element uptake by plants ? For example, it influences phosphorus uptake to such an extent that no phosphorus deficiency was observed in plants receiving only half the amount of phosphorus fertilizer. Silicon has a beneficial effect on the ionic balance in plants and reduces the adverse effects of excess manganese and iron. Thanks to its deposition in cell walls, it increases their strength and resistance to mechanical damage. Thicker and tougher cell walls are thus a natural barrier against pathogens, which show less virulence towards silicon-rich plants. Silicon increases resistance to adverse weather and environmental conditions such as low temperatures and drought. Silicon-treated plants produce more green mass.
Ideal solution
The benefits of using silicon led the manufacturer's experts to develop a liquid solution that can be absorbed through the foliage. Foliar fertilisation with an easily absorbed (easily taken up by the plant) silicon solution is very often the only way to avoid the negative consequences (adverse effects) of silicon deficiency. OPTYSIL contains 200 g of silicon per litre in the form of SiO2 and has the particularity of being pH neutral despite its high silicon content, so it can be easily mixed with any other chemical.
OPTYSIL is an anti-stress formulation with beneficial effects on plants exposed to various stress (negative) effects such as drought, high salinity soil, pest and fungal pathogen infections. The silicon in OPTYSIL strengthens cell walls and increases the resistance of plants to mechanical damage (e.g. harvesting, transport and storage damage). The silicon stored in the root zone prevents the spread of infections caused by some soil-borne pathogens. In times of drought, OPTYSIL reduces damage caused by water deficit by stimulating root growth, reducing cuticular (leaf surface) evaporation and by more efficient photosynthesis processes. It stimulates the uptake and utilisation (incorporation) of nutrients (especially phosphorus) from the soil.
Recommended dose of OPTYSIL: 0,5 l/ha for field crops, fruits and vegetables. It should be borne in mind that the best results are obtained when the product is applied prophylactically to the plants. Applications should be made approximately every 7?10 days starting from the early stages of plant development.
