Osmocote Exact DCT, the fourth generation of Osmocote's Dual Coating Technology (DCT) programmed-opening fertiliser, has created a new quality category in coated fertilisers. This revolutionary product starts to release its nutrients at a later, predetermined time.

The double coating technology consists of a second coating of a different composition around the grain of Osmocote Exact. The second coating is designed to delay the leaching of nutrients for two to three months after the fertiliser has been applied. The new nutrient leaching scheme is the perfect solution for growing conditions where wrapped fertilisers have not provided a complete nutrient supply.

The fourth generation of coated fertilizers (DCT) is a blend of Osmocote Exact standard and Protect.The initial lower nutrient release is followed by a higher nutrient level after 2-2.5 months.Crops that need more nutrients in the second half of the growing season respond with extra growth. It is best used in March-May rotations. Duration of action: 5-6 and 8-9 months, indicated by the brown and blue colour-coded granules. For salt-sensitive crops, the dose can remain the same as that of Osmocote Exact standard with a similar duration of action.The initial lower salinity is rewarded by vigorous root development. For high nutrient demanding cultures, the dose should be increased by about 20-25% above the standard Osmocote Exact with similar efficacy.In the second half of the growing season, less or no nutrient solution can be expected. Osmocote Exact Hi.End is an excellent choice for growers who are growing plants with higher nutrient requirements in the second growth stage.

Osmocote Exact Hi.End 8 - 9 Month Fertilizer is specially developed for the nutrient replenishment of potted and container grown ornamentals planted between January and March. It is recommended for a wide range of pot-grown ornamental plants, including coniferous and broadleaf evergreen shrubs and other container-grown ornamental nursery plants.

For plants requiring extra nutrient supplementation during the summer, the dose should be 1.0 g/l (+25%) higher than the conventional Osmocote Exact Standard. For salt-sensitive species, which require lower nutrient levels in the first month of the growing season, the recommended dose is the same as the general recommendation
