Early best (Cherry belle) radishes
Early radishes are usually grown as an intercrop, as they stay in the bed for a short time. Autumn-winter radishes can be sown as a second crop after peas, spinach or lettuce.
Variety description
A good quality monthly radish suitable for sprouting and early outdoor cultivation. The radish requires a constant, even supply of water, so it remains juicy for a long time and later becomes powdery. The bulb is medium sized, firm, compact, bright red in colour, not prone to powdering or cracking.
Sowing:
March to September, in the open ground. Germination at 6-14 0C for 6-8 days. Thin after emergence.
Seed requirements:
10-20 g/10 m2.
Spacing:
15-20x4-7cm.
Harvesting:
April to October.
