Active substance content : ammonium nitrate, dolomite meal According to EC fertiliser specifications : 27 % nitrogen (N); 5 % calcium (Ca), expressed as calcium oxide: 7 % CaO, 3 % magnesium (Mg), expressed as oxide: 5 % MgO Use The nitrogen in Pétiso contains an equal proportion of slow acting ammonium nitrogen and fast acting nitrate nitrogen, and can therefore be used as a base and top dressing for all soil types and crops. The presence of dolomite in addition to nitrogen reduces soil acidity and is therefore particularly recommended for acid soils. The calcium (magnesium) improves the structure of the soil, makes it friable through its clay-humic complexes (water, heat and air retention are increased due to the porosity) and increases its productivity. By improving the ion balance, it increases the uptake and utilisation of other nutrients. Because of its magnesium content, it has a beneficial effect on the cultivation of magnesium-demanding crops such as potatoes, sugar beet, perennial butterflies, maize, rape, oats, horticultural and medicinal plants.
