Detailed description
The active ingredient in Xiren HG slugicide, metaldehyde, acts by entering the slug's feeding tract. After ingestion, the animals increase their production of mucus, which depletes their energy and water reserves, causing them to die by dehydration. The granules should be applied in the row spacing, taking care to avoid the fresh fruit and green parts of the plant. The product must not be sprayed on the plants from above.
Use tip
Treatments are recommended in mild, damp weather when slug activity is at its highest. The granules should be applied in bands in the row spacing, avoiding direct contact with edible parts of the plants. In case of heavy infestation, the treatment should be repeated after 14 days. The number of treatments should not exceed three per year.
