Description:

Planting:
Buy a large pot with holes in the bottom. Cover the bottom with a layer of clay granules. Put potting soil in the pot and place the Canna rhizomes at the right height. Fill with soil and press down firmly. Water liberally immediately after planting.
Care:
Place the flower pot or planter in a location where there is full sunlight. Canna's flowers and large, dark leaves are essential in a tropical border. Provide a sunny spot to make these tropical plants feel at home. Like dahlias, canna tubers are very easy to overwinter. Remove the tubers from the pot or the open ground after the first night frost. Place the tubers in a box with peat moss or sand. The large tubers can be further divided. Store Canna tubers in a frost-free place. You can replant them next spring (after the last frost).
