Introducing Game Repellent PRO game repellent:

Three years of continuous and intensive trials - and the use of the raw materialThe result is a highly effective game repellent.

The basic idea was to reduce the chewing damage of hares and deer in sunflowers and other crops.and maize, which are the two crops most exposed to game damage in the lowlands. The aim was to create an effective but easy-to-apply game repellent, and so the project was born. This resulted in a water soluble concentrate that effectively repels small and large game from the treated crop.

The mechanism of action of Game Repellent PRO

(NÉBIH licence number: 6700/0065139-1/2024)

The agent achieves its effect through its unpleasant taste, its chewing action and its odour.

Sunflower and maize:

When sprayed on a stand at 2-4 leaf stage, as a basal function, radically reduces and eliminates rabbit and deer chewing damage. In our experiments, however, we also obtained surprising results!

After sowing maize:

Sprayed on the ground, it kept feral pigs away, showed effective protection against field sowbugs and mice, and Game Repellent PRO sprayed seed was not scratched by pheasants or crows, and cricket damage was eliminated!

Tests:

Our tests included our two largest population big game species, the red deer and fallow deer. We have found that they tolerate crops treated with Game Repellent PROextremely poorly, whether they are agricultural, viticultural or forestry crops. A particular method has been successful in the control of wild boar borer: by spraying the soil after sowing and compacting it to keep the wild boar away. Without compaction, there was a slight difference, so this method should be used!

We have found that it is not enough to have only a very intolerable taste, so we also use many other materials that have a very high return on investment. The use of a sweet, mentholated fragrance is used to keep the recalcitrant wildlife away by smell alone. Its dual mechanism of action thus consists of a primary taste sensation and an associated olfactory experience. The agent has an alarming effect on the wild animal when first tried, due to its unpleasant taste and chewing properties. The first taste of the predator, which has a deterrent effect, leads to a subsequent aversion based on the associated olfactory effect.

General Use

The preparation is used in the growing season to protect arable crops from theIt is recommended to apply it preventively as a foliar spray to protect the shoots of crop plants during the vegetative period. The dose per hectare is 1 litre per hectare diluted with 80 to 300 litres of water in a split treatment (2 X 0,5 litres per hectare). The wide dilution range allows the use of slow tractors for stockingand protection of feral pigs against fumigation with simultaneous application of fungicide. This wide dilution range allows the use of a wide range of sprayers, so no other investment is necessary! However, it is best to mix 0.5 litres of Game Repellent PRO with 120-150 litres of water.

Date of application:

Time of application if the emerging plant needs to be protected: From 2-4 leaf stage until flowering starts every 14 - 21 days, if the time of application is less than 2 weeks. If time conditions are not ideal, a third treatmentmay be necessary.

If it is necessary to treat sunflowers at the silique stage, the technology is partially modified: Dilution of 0,3 litres of Game Repellent PRO with 80 litres of water is recommended and then applied when the game reappears, but preferably at the same time as the first application.at the 2-4 leaf stage, a second treatment with the normal dose (0,5 litre Game Repellent PRO in 150 litres of water) should be applied. If a third treatment is necessary, this should be applied 14-21 days apart if the game does not appear sooner in the treated crop.

For large fields, a border treatment is also an option, applied at a minimum width of 20 metres.

Our product is also equipped with a traction enhancing adjuvant. We have carried out mixing trials with liquid foliar fertilisers(GeoLomb productrange), a live cell product(AlgaSanBa) and plant conditioner (AlgaSanBa).(Novosil) and in none of the cases did we encounter any problems, so it can be confidently said to be widely miscible, thereby reducing the cost of application. It can also be mixed with herbicides and fungicides, but always carry out a mixing test before application!

Pests and Cultures

Damaging game species: hares, deer

Harmful crop: sunflower, maize, maize legume

Treatment: mix 0.5 litre of Game Repellent PRO with 120-150 litres of water every 14-21 days from 2-4 leaf stage.

Sunflower when damaged in the silique stage: Dilution of 0.3 litres Game Repellent PRO with 80 litres of water is recommended followed by a second treatment at the second treatment standard when wildlife reappears, but no later than 2-4 leaf stageIn this case a third treatment may be necessary depending on the growth of the population.

Target species: cervids (deer, fallow deer)

Crops affected: sunflower, maize, oilseed rape, rape

Treatment: mix 0,5 litre of Game Repellent PRO with 120-150 litres of water every 14-21 days from 2-4 leaf stage.

In sunflower up to star bud stage: applied with a slow sprayer diluting 0,5 litre Game Repellent PRO with 80 litres of water.

Crop damaged: grapes

3 to 4 litres of Game Repellent PRO diluted with 80 litres of water, sprayed on fresh shoots and skeleton branches to keep deer away. If a second treatment is required, the concentration can be reduced.

Harmful game species: wild boar

Harmful crop: maize

Treatment: sprayed on the ground after sowing with 0,5 litre of Game Repellent PRO in 120-150 litres of water, compacted with a stick or rubber roller, to eliminate damage to the field.

Damaging game species: pheasants, crows, Eurasian pigeons

Damaged crop: maize, sunflower

Treatment: banding.

2 dl of Game Repellent PRO per 70,000 seeds, using enough water to wet all the seeds to effectively repel the pest.

Damaging species: geese

Target crop: kales

For the control of gooseflies, we have only been successful in spring control, using 0.5 litre of Game Repellent PRO diluted with 120-150 litres of water. The birds have completely stopped damaging it. The winter treatment has so far not been successful!

Other information

Game Repellent PRO can of course be used in any field crop. It is not harmful to bees but should be avoided when applied in flower as it contains ingredients that inhibit pollination.

It has shown excellent results in trials under the NÉBIH approval process.compared to both control areas and other chemicals on the market!

For general treatments up to 20 ha board size the dose is 1 litre/ha with 2 X 0.5 litre split treatments!

For areas larger than 20 ha, the solution is to apply a border treatment with a minimum width of 20 m!

Because of its ease of use and outstanding efficacy, users/farmers will certainly want to use it on their fields. Game Repellent PRO is a suitable and affordable alternative for both the hunter and the farmer!
