The mechanism of action of Game Repellent PRO
(NÉBIH licence number: 6700/0065139-1/2024)
The agent achieves its effect through its unpleasant taste, its chewing action and its odour.
Sunflower and maize:
When sprayed on a stand at 2-4 leaf stage, as a basal function, radically reduces and eliminates rabbit and deer chewing damage. In our experiments, however, we also obtained surprising results!
After sowing maize:
Sprayed on the ground, it kept feral pigs away, showed effective protection against field sowbugs and mice, and Game Repellent PRO sprayed seed was not scratched by pheasants or crows, and cricket damage was eliminated!
Tests:
Our tests included our two largest population big game species, the red deer and fallow deer. We have found that they tolerate crops treated with Game Repellent PROextremely poorly, whether they are agricultural, viticultural or forestry crops. A particular method has been successful in the control of wild boar borer: by spraying the soil after sowing and compacting it to keep the wild boar away. Without compaction, there was a slight difference, so this method should be used!
We have found that it is not enough to have only a very intolerable taste, so we also use many other materials that have a very high return on investment. The use of a sweet, mentholated fragrance is used to keep the recalcitrant wildlife away by smell alone. Its dual mechanism of action thus consists of a primary taste sensation and an associated olfactory experience. The agent has an alarming effect on the wild animal when first tried, due to its unpleasant taste and chewing properties. The first taste of the predator, which has a deterrent effect, leads to a subsequent aversion based on the associated olfactory effect.
