Useful fungi against fire blight and storage diseases!
Blossom Protect is able to protect fruits after harvesting from storagediseases (apple fruit) and also has an excellent effect against needle rot (Erwinia amylovora)!
This effect is achieved by two strains of Aureobasidium pullulans fungi in the product, which should be applied before the onset of disease, as these fungi are only preventive.
The main benefits of using Blossom Portect:
- zero residue and can be used immediately before harvest
- it does not develop resistance to pesticides
- can be well integrated into organic farming, but can also be used in conventional fruit production
After using fungicides incompatible with Blossom Protect, wait at least 2 days before applying Blossom Protect. In the same way, after using Blossom Protect, wait 2 days before using a chemical fungicide. Blossom Protect can be used interchangeably with the chemical fungicides to reduce the resistance to them.

SUMMARY:
The product contains 2 strains of the fungus Aureobasidium pullulans (DSM 14940 and DSM 14941). The concentration of the active substance is 5X 10 to 9 CFU/g, i.e. 5 billion fungal spores per gram!

In apple orchards (apples, pears, quince, naspolya):
For fire blight control, the product should be applied preventively 4-5 times during the flowering period. The treatment should be started at 10% flower opening and repeated at 40%, 70% or 90% flower opening. Five treatments are necessary in prolonged flowering. When taking into account the data from a forecasting system (e.g. Maryblyt, BILLING), sprays should be applied 1-2 days before the expected occurrence of infestation.
Against storage diseases:
The product is recommended to be applied preventively during the fruit ripening period, with intervals of 2-10 days depending on the infection pressure.
Dose, quantity:
Dose and spray volume should be adjusted to the crown size of the treated trees. In all cases, uniform and complete coverage of flowers and fruits with spray should be sought.
The temperature of the water used for spraying must not exceed 30°C. The preparation must be thoroughly shaken before application. The prepared suspension should be used within 8 hours. To prevent fire death, the water used for spraying should be boiled before mixing the preparation.(pH) of the water used for spraying should be adjusted to 3,5-4,0 using a citric acid buffer.
The preparation should not normally be mixed with fungicides.
