Characteristics of Bitter Salt Yara:
A high purity fertilizer containing magnesium and sulphur for nutrient leaching. A 100% water soluble fertilizer with no residual solubility. It is recommended for use when high magnesium is needed but nitrogen application is to be avoided (typically in the late stages of vegetation).
Magnesium, as a central component of chlorophyll, is essential for plants.
It is very important to have the right ratio of potassium to magnesium in the soil. By using it, you can avoid upsetting this ratio.
It can be used on its own or as a supplement to compound nutrient solutions in hydroponics, taking into account the mixing rules. Recommended concentration: 0,05-0,15 %.
Not to be mixed with water soluble fertilisers containing calcium.
Composition:
- Magnesium content (MgO) 15 %.
- Sulphur content (SO3) 32 % MgO
Use:
Plants are less able to take up magnesium from the soil, so its use is recommended primarily as a foliar fertiliser.
The general dosage is as a solution:
- 5% in rape until flowering,
- 5% in other arable crops, 5% in potatoes at harvest,
- 1-2% in orchards at fruiting, 3-4% in vines after flowering,
- in vegetables 1-2% from setting, in ornamentals 2-3%.
