In the conservatory, this plant can grow up to two metres tall, but if it is too tall, cut back the shoots. The plant prefers a semi-shady spot and needs temperatures of 12-15 degrees in winter. In summer, you can put it out in the garden, but keep it out of the hot sun, as the leaves can easily burn.

If you cut the plant back, you can use the cut shoots as cuttings, plant them in a pot and they will take root in a few weeks. It is not worth experimenting with propagation from seed at home. If properly tended, coffee shrubs can grow up to 20-30 cm per year. The plant will bear fruit after about 4-5 years, but don't expect too big a crop from one pot.

Sowing: in sandy-peaty soil at 25Co. Protect the wetted seeds from drying out with a glass cover.

Planting: plant the seedlings with 2-3 lobed leaves in humusy, nutrient-rich, slightly acid soil.

In summer, place the seedlings in a semi-shady place, protected from strong sun and wind.

In winter, keep them in a frost-free place.

It will flower in the fourth year.
