Characteristics of arugula:
The arugula (Eruca sativa), also known as pepper mustard, is native to central and southern Europe, but is also found in North America. It is an herb with a peppery-nutty-mustard taste, with leaves similar in shape to dandelions. Arugula is not only delicious but also healthy, with remarkable levels of vitamins A, C and K, as well as calcium and iron. It is a fast-growing leafy vegetable with a flavour reminiscent of peanuts and pepper. It is an essential part of Mediterranean cuisine. Harvest 3cm above the ground with the leaves cut off. Can be harvested 4-6 times in a season.

Can be sown continuously from spring to autumn, but can also be easily grown in a window box. Germination takes 5-10 days at 10-20 0C. Sowing does not require thinning.
