Fiskars has replaced the traditional spiral thread solution with two boron steel blades that lock together at an optimum angle. This design helps drilling, even in more resistant soil types. The tool does not jam as the thread extends deeper. Drilled soil can be lifted out in one small pile after the hole has been drilled.
