When in use, the pump should be placed at least 0.1 m but not more than 1 m below the water surface on a stable surface free of silt, sand and other dirt. The power can be adjusted by means of the slide switch. The pump requires no lubrication or special maintenance. It is sufficient to check the inlet openings of the filter housing at certain intervals and clean them with clean water if necessary.
