The fungicide Universalis is identical to the fungicide Quadris approved under No 36222/2001.FVM.
It is a systemic agent for grapes and berries, effective against all fungal diseases.

It acts in the mitochondrion, a vital organ of the fungus within the fungal cell. It inhibits the function of two coenzymes within the mitochondrion, the electron transport system between cytochrome B and C1. This prevents energy production, which is vital for the fungus, and with it the respiration of the fungus. Among fungicides, it is also highly effective against pathogens that are already tolerant to other fungicides, thanks to its new mode of action. Quadris has the unique property of aiding the incorporation of carbohydrates, thereby increasing crop safety and yield.
