WETCIT® is an adjuvant formulation with a completely new active ingredient and mechanism of action. Its ingredients provide excellent wetting, adhesion and spray penetration thanks to the active alcohol ethoxylate and the cold-pressed orange oil additive. Orange oil has the important positive properties of other oils, such as the ability to penetrate the water-repellent plant wax layer, but does not form an oil film on leaves and fruits which inhibits plant respiration, thus not causing any lasting stress to the treated plant. At the same time, the dehydrating effect of orange oil is exerted on pests with a soft chitinous skeleton (e.g. fungal nematodes, soft-bodied pests), thus significantly increasing the efficacy of the co-plant protection product. The alcohol ethoxylate active ingredient is responsible for the unique spray spreading and wetting effect, even at very low concentrations (0.15%). Because of these complex properties, it is safe to say that WETCIT® alone can do the job of adjuvants of different types and functions.
It is up to you to decide what you want to use WETCIT® for: at 0.15% it is an excellent wetting agent, as you increase the concentration the adhesion and penetration increases, and at 0.3% it has a drying effect.
What does WETCIT® offer users?
The addition of WETCIT® to the spray effectively reduces the surface tension of the spray. This significantly improves spray coverage and spray droplet area on the treated surface.

WETCIT® increases the effectiveness of contact crop protection products by:
- Moisturizes the waxy external exudate of insects.
- Moistening the water repellent fungal mycelia and spores.
- Injects insecticides through body membranes and respiratory openings into the insect body.

By increasing penetration, WETCIT® also increases the effectiveness of the absorbed insecticides, accelerating their action.
WETCIT® dehydrates (desiccates) plant cells that have been damaged by insects or fungi. Desiccation of these cells prevents further spread of the pest.
Honeydew, which is secreted by sucking pests such as aphids or scale insects, is dried by WETCIT® applied in a spray.
Plant surfaces treated with WETCIT® are rewet by dew or light rain after treatment. This prevents the formation of large droplets and accelerates the drying of the plant. The rewetting helps to redistribute the sprayed pesticide on the plant surface.
