Details
A long-acting fungicide with a unique mode of action, with an absorbable effect. The active ingredient phoszetil is unique because it acts throughout the plant, strengthening its natural defence mechanism. The fungicidal spray can be used in cucumbers, lettuce and tobacco against peronospora, in apple orchards to prevent needle-killed bacterial diseases and against scab.

Homemade use: 15-50 g/10 litres of water.

Active ingredient: 800 g/kg phoszetil

Marketing category: III.

Recommended technology:

The mechanism of action of the active substance foszetil is similar to that of vaccines used in human medicine. Its absorption into the plant is rapid and immediately stimulates the production of plant pathogen defence substances. However, a higher concentration of antibodies is required to achieve full immunity and therefore a preventive application is important.
Treatments should be carried out on a forecast basis, starting from 2-4 true leaf stage in tobacco and cucumber, and repeated every 7-10 days in periods of high risk.
In cucumbers, the lower dose should be applied until the onset of budding and flowering, the higher dose from flowering. In lettuce, during the winter and spring growing seasons, and in the field, control should be started immediately after planting as a preventive herbicide spray. Further treatments should be completed as the infestation develops, but at the latest at heading. In apple crops, preventive applications against needle-kill disease should be made on a predictive basis at the beginning of the flowering period, during the period of intensive shoot growth. If conditions are favourable for infection (daily rainfall greater than 2,5 mm, mean daily temperature above 18 °C, relative humidity above 75%), treatments should be repeated 2-3 times before the onset of symptoms as a preventive measure.

Culture Harmful organism Quantity of product and water required for application (kg, l/ha)
