Lima beans with big eyes!
A late-growing Lima bean with large eyes, growing up to 2-3 metres tall, requiring a support system. The pod is 10-12 cm long and 2.5 cm wide, in which 3-4 large, flat seeds with a beautiful red-brownish pattern develop. The tender seed can be prepared in the same way as green beans and the dry seed in the same way as edible beans. Harvested as dry beans when fully ripe. Lima beans are more heat-sensitive than other types of beans and better tolerant of drought.
